COVID-19 Response Group Testing Resources

The COVID-Response Group is devoted to the mission of widespread community testing for Blaine County residents. As we await reopening of our testing site we’d like to help shed some light on other local testing options.

St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center

Drive up PCR (nasal swab) testing for active disease. Tent hours 10a-4p daily. PCR testing is NO COST at this time.  Patients with severe symptoms may be asked to check into the ED for further evaluation. St. Luke’s now offers a blood antibody (IgG) test. This can be ordered as part of a visit with your provider. Cost is ~ $50 and would be added to the cost of visit.

Sterling Urgent Care in Hailey

Sterling offers both PCR and blood antibody testing. Please contact them before showing up, as they require some prescreening. Cost ~ $150-200 (including lab bill), consult Sterling.

Ketchum City/Fred Hutchinson/Albany College of Pharmacy Study

Evaluation of the prevalence of COVID antibodies in Blaine County. Also will attempt to estimate the number of asymptomatic contagious folks in our county. Currently study enrollment is closed, but will likely be enrolling more participants. Cost = free. For more details (please visit regularly):

St. Luke’s Affiliated Medical Providers

Please discuss antibody testing with your medical providers. St. Luke’s providers have access to St. Luke’s lab tests (above).

Independent Medical Providers

Several local independent medical providers offer blood antibody testing options. Please consult your provider.

Crush The Curve

Idaho-based company attempting to combat the spread of COVID-19. Their mission is to combat the spread by increasing awareness throughout the whole state. No Blaine County testing centers yet, but stay tuned. Cost is based on ability to pay. For now the closest testing center is in Twin Falls. Please visit their website.

Testing Center location in Magic Valley: 1502 Locust St. N. #700 Twin Falls, ID 83301

*The blood tests used by St. Luke’s, Crush the Curve, and the Ketchum City Study are the same tests.
